How to set the power gradient in laser marking software?

During the laser marking process, setting a power gradient can achieve a gradient effect from light to deep or from deep to light, which is very useful in some applications that require special visual effects, such as creating gradient patterns, text or achieving special artistic effects. The following are the detailed steps to set the power gradient using laser marking software (such as EzCad2)

1. Open the laser marking software
Start the software that comes with the laser marking machine, such as EzCad2.

Ii. Create or import design elements
1. Create text or graphics: Create a new text box or draw a graphic in the software's workspace to display the power gradient effect.
2. Import design files: If there are already designed vector graphics or patterns, they can be imported into the software through the "Import" function.

Iii. Enable the power gradient function
1. Select Object: Select the text or graphic object to which the power gradient needs to be applied.
2. Enter the gradient Settings: In the parameter Settings interface of the software, find the "Power Gradient" or "Gradient Effect" option. It is usually under the "Fill" or "Effects" menu.

Four. Set gradient parameters
1. Gradient direction: Set the direction of the gradient, such as from left to right, from top to bottom, or diagonal direction.
2. Gradient range: Define the starting and ending power percentages of the gradient. For example, start from 20% power and gradually increase to 80%.
3. Gradient step size: Set the step size for power variation, which determines the smoothness of the gradient. A smaller step size will make the gradient smoother.

V. Adjust other relevant parameters
1. Marking speed: Adjust the marking speed appropriately according to the material and gradient effect requirements. The slower the speed, the deeper the marking, and the more obvious the gradient effect.
2. Frequency: Adjust the laser pulse frequency, which is generally between 20 and 100kHz. The higher the frequency, the more delicate the gradient effect.
3. Fill Spacing: For the fill area, setting an appropriate fill spacing can affect the density and effect of the gradient.

Vi. Preview and Testing
Preview effect: Click the "Preview" button in the software to check if the power gradient effect meets expectations.
2. Test marking: Conduct a small-scale test marking on the actual material to observe the actual performance of the gradient effect and adjust the parameters as needed.

Vii. Preservation and Application
1. Save Settings: After completing the parameter adjustment, save the current Settings for future reuse.
2. Formal marking: After confirming that there are no errors, the formal marking operation begins.

By following the above steps, you can successfully set the power gradient in the laser marking software to achieve rich visual effects. If you encounter any problems during the operation, you can refer to the software's help documentation or contact technical support for assistance.
